MIZZOU WINS MACHA CHAMPIONSHIP!!
For the second time in four seasons, the University of Missouri Tigers have won the MACHA title. After finishing second with a 13-2-1 record in the regular season, Missouri beat the University of Iowa 5-3 in a semi-final game on Saturday and swept by Illinois State 4-1 in Sunday's championship. Alex Roth of the Tigers won the tournament MVP award. The Tigers would like to thank their sponsors, family, and friends for another great season of Mizzou Hockey.
![]() Missouri Tigers Hockey Team Honors Heroes The Missouri Tigers Ice Hockey team takes to the ice against the Eastern Illinois Panthers on Saturday, January 21st at 7:30 PM and Sunday, January 22nd at 11 AM at the Washington Park Ice Arena in Jefferson City, MO. The team will be honoring military personnel on Saturday night with a "Hockey Loves Heroes" event by offering free admission to all active and former military personnel. "We are grateful to the Missouri National Guard for helping us put together an evening to honor all those that serve our country so unselfishly"," Head Coach John Lamond said. The team will also recognize its five senior team members on Saturday evening. Senior Captain Evan Thill is among those being honored, "We had a solid first semester and we are excited to get the second semester underway. It's going to be a great night and I'm glad we can share that excitement with some of our nation's heroes." Thill said. The Tigers skated to a 9-2-1 record in MACHA league play in the first semester and are currently tied for 2nd place.

Over the years, the anticipation of intense athletic competition between the University of Missouri and University of Kansas has created unrivaled fan enthusiasm. The state-of-the-art Independence Events Center 5,800 fixed-seat sports and entertainment venue, will once again host the sticks and puck version of the 2012 Men’s Hockey Border Showdown when Mizzou Hockey takes on KU Men’s Hockey team at the Events Center on Friday, January 20.
